Who I am as a supervisor/consultant:
I use a developmental supervision approach, providing structure and guidance as needed, giving way to building confidence and solidifying independent case conceptualization and critical thinking.
I trust my supervisees to be the most knowledgeable about their client’s presentation, and do my best to offer a balance of power within supervision.
I hold supervisees to a high standard of professional practice while also bringing humor, warmth, and compassion.
Feedback from previous supervisees include:
Consistent endorsement as being “perceptive,” “supportive,” “invested,” and “intuitive” (based on the Supervisory Styles Inventory)
“I feel I have gained more insight about myself clinically and professionally with where I can grow because of the on-point observations and insight that Diana provides.”
“instead of giving me answers, it has been helpful guiding me to think through my questions and formulating own hypotheses”
