Nuance Psychological

Compassion, Connection, and Change

To the High-Achievers, People-Pleasers, and Children of Immigrants:

The best version of yourself isn’t the only one worth having.

You don’t have to keep pushing. You don’t have to have it all. In fact, you can’t.

Why not have more of the important things instead?

We see how you’ve been trying, how you feel trapped and scared, how you’ve made it work. And we see the talents you underplay, your achievements despite the challenges, and your care and generosity towards others.

It’s hard to feel spread so thin and so disconnected from yourself.

Let’s re-invest your energy into what you truly matters to you.

Why “Nuance?”

A name of a practice is part hope, part promise.

If things were black-and-white or clear cut, you’d likely have already taken action. Promising that the solution is easy and straightforward only undermines your ability to problem-solve.

Instead, I want to appreciate the difficulties of change, and understand the barriers and complexity of the situation. By finding the nuance, we allow for greater curiosity and better critical thinking.

That recognition will ultimately be the key to change.
